It is hard to believe that Afghanistan was actually a Jewish center for more than a thousand years. Of course, there is barely anything left from that rich heritage. The future of all Afghani Jewry emigrated to the State of Israel soon after the founding of the State of Israel.

In ancient times, the Khazar kingdom – which stretched from the area of Turkey into what is modern-day Afghanistan had a mass-scale conversion to Judaism.
